John Anderson, co-founder John has been writing software since
high school, when he programmed one of the world's first PDP-11's in the physics department at the University of Utah. Since then, he earned a Ph.D. in Zoology at the University of Washington, co-founded Solaster
Software Corporation, wrote WriteNow, the award-winning word processor for Macintosh, and managed the application software department at NeXT software. He now divides his
time between product development for AppMagic and contracting for companies in Silicon Valley.
Alan Harper, co-founder Alan is a programmer and zoologist with 15 years experience in
software development. He is the original creative force behind DataInk, a sophisticated data-graphing product that’s still in development. His object database features a number of
software innovations, including automatic Undo and garbage collection, and byte-order independence. Alan is also Treasurer of Pro Esteros, a wetlands conservation organization
in Baja Calif., he’s a contributor to the educational Cal Alive CD ROM on biodiversity, and he co-authored a paper on the fall
migration patterns of hawks in California. Alan earned a Ph.D. in Zoology from the University of Washington in 1986.
Helen Casabona, product designer & writer Helen is a product designer for our first shipping product, ExpenseIT. She also designed and wrote our documentation and Web sites. Helen has many years experience in user documentation, marketing collateral, Web content, and
journalism, and has produced a number of award-winning books and sites for major Silicon Valley companies (www.Casabona.com).
